SOULS & SCRIPTURE
Two eternal things exist in this world: the souls of men and the Word of God.
Since 2019, FEED Council has aimed to transform the lives of young people through the love of Christ so that they, in turn, will share the transforming love of Christ with others. We are committed to teaching each core subject with a biblical worldview. The inerrant, sufficient Word of God is our anchor and we are uncompromisingly committed to Christ and His Word. FEED strives to equip students to excel in scholastic endeavors, seek to grow in wisdom, develop convictions, hone and perfect social etiquette, and become servant-leaders. FEED is proud of each graduate and seeks to give each student the tools necessary to soar toward success through the skills and objectives needed so that they are able to live a life worthy of the calling of God.
At FEED, we desire to stand on the truth of the Word of God, and we believe that preserving the ministry’s organization will be through the truth found in the bible.
BIBLE
The Bible is the divinely inspired written revelation of God, is inerrant (without error), infallible, sufficient, and authoritative. It is made up of 66 books and is final and complete in its entirety in its original autographs. (Deuteronomy 4:2, 12:32, 2 Timothy 3:15-17, 2 Peter 1:2,; Revelation 22:18-19)
Interpretation of Scripture is guided by Scripture itself. (Proverbs 8:8-9, Matthew 12:3-5, 19:4, 22:31; Mark 7:13, 12:10, 12:26, Luke 6:3, 2 Corinthians 4:2, 2 Timothy 3:16-17)
GOD
There is one self-existent God who is eternal, immutable, and the Creator of all things (visible and invisible), all people. He is Sovereign Ruler of all things.
God is a Triune God and manifests Himself in three distinct Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Each Person is fully God and coeternal. (Genesis 1:1-2, 2:1-4, Deuteronomy 6:4, 33:27, Psalm 22:28, 103:19, Matthew 3:15-17, 28:19, John 1:1-3, 10:30)
GOD THE FATHER
In the Bible, the Triune God has revealed himself in male gender with masculine pronouns and titles such as Father, Son, God, King, Priest, and Prophet (Psalm 5:2, Mattew 28:19, John 14:26)
God reveals Himself to us in Scripture as a loving Father who sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to earth to take the place of punishment on the cross paying for the sins of mankind so that we could live eternally with Him in heaven. (Luke 24:39, John 1:1-3, 1:14, 1:18, 3:16, 8:58, Colossians 1:16, Acts 2;22, 1 Corinthians 15:47, Philippians 2:5-8, Hebrews 1:1-3)
God the Son: JESUS
Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of God, uncreated, the promised Messiah from Nazareth (John 1:36-42), who became flesh (John 1:1 & 14, John 20:28) among us without ceasing to be God, conceived of the Holy Spirt, born of a virgin, and lived a completely sinless life (Hebrews 4:15, Hebrews 7:26). He is Lord of all. (Isaiah 7:14, 53:4-6, Matthew 1:16-23, Luke 1:34-35 John 8:29, 8:46, Acts 2:22, 1 Corinthians 15:47, 2 Corinthians 5:21, 1 Peter 2:21-22 )
JESUS’ DEATH & RESURRECTION
God in human flesh, Jesus Christ, died for your sin and my sin on the cross (1 Corinthians 15:3-5, Ephesians 1:7, Hebrews 2:9), was buried (John 19:40-42), and rose again on the third day from the dead (John 2:19), and ascended to heaven, is seated now at the right hand of the Father in heaven, where He now intercedes for us who believe in Him to God the Father. (Mark 16:19, Acts 7:56, 1 Timothy 2:5, 2 Timothy 4:1, Hebrews 7:25).
GOD THE HOLY SPIRIT
The Holy Spirit, is the Helper in our lives Who glorifies the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit convicts the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment. (John 15:26, 16:8-11, 16: 14) The Holy Spirit empowers believers to repent of sin, to live lives focused on godliness, produced fruit in the lives of believers, and enables believers to share the gospel story of salvation with the world. (Romans 8:13-14, 1 Corinthians 3:16, 1 Corinthians 6:19-20, Ephesians 4:30, Ephesians 5:18)
THE FALL
God created the first man, Adam, and the first woman, Eve, and placed them in a garden and world that was without sin. They voluntarily chose to fall into sin, thus plunging their seed (all of humanity after them) into sin and exposing the desperate need for salvation for all mankind from the fall of sin. Both physical death as well as spiritual death and even all “animal death, disease, bloodshed, suffering, extinction, thorns and thistles, and all other natural evils (e.g., earthquakes, hurricanes, tsunamis, etc.) entered this world subsequent to, and as a direct consequence of, man’s sin” (credit to Answers In Genesis Ministries) (Genesis 2:7; Genesis 2:16-17; 2:22-23; 3:6-20; 3:8; 4:4-8; Romans 5:12; 8:20-22; 1 Corinthians 15:45-49)
SIN
All of humanity has sinned (the Bible says that no one is righteous), and each one of us in the human race is a sinner needing to be saved by Christ’s payment of our sins through His death and resurrection. Due to our turning away from God, we deserve God’s wrath and eternal punishment. (1 Kings 8:46; Isaiah 53:6; Psalm 116:11; Proverbs 16:5; John 3:16-18; 12:32; 12:48; Romans 3:23; 5:12; 2 Peter 3:9)
SALVATION
Salvation from the penalty and the power of sin is available and offered to mankind only through the sacrificial death and shed blood of Jesus Christ. Because Christ conquered the grave and rose again in obedience to His Father God, we can have freedom from our sin and new life in Christ. (Luke 24:39; John 8:12; 8:36; 14:6; Acts 4:12; 1 Timothy 2:3-6; 1 Peter 1:3)
Salvation is given by Christ through faith because of God’s grace alone. Salvation cannot be earned, but is a gift that wasn’t free (the payment was the life of Christ) and is received by the conduit of faith alone in Christ alone. (Ephesians 2:8-9; Titus 3;3-7)
REPENTANCE
The person who has repented of their sins, turned to Christ for new life, and trusted in Christ alone for salvation and the payment of their sins is born again and has received full pardon for their sin through the risen Savior Jesus Christ as their new Lord and God.
True repentance means to turn away from and go the other direction. Only through Christ will we find the strength to turn from our sins and to turn to Him. (John 1:12-13; Acts 3:19; 16:31; 17:30-31; Galatians 2:20-21; 1 John 3:9)
SATAN
Satan is a real, literal devil who is also a fallen angel. Satan (Lucifer) is a personal spiritual enemy of both God and mankind and will be judged by God Himself and cast into the lake of fire (hell) for eternity. He, with his demons (fallen angels who followed Satan in his rebellion against God) work now in the world to deceive, destroy, and defeat believers and the work that God is doing on earth. Believers are protected and sealed by the Holy Spirit and are interceded for in prayer through the Holy Spirit. (Genesis 3:1; Job 1:6-12; Matthew 4:1-11; Matthew 25:41; Luke 22;31-32; 1 John 4:4; Revelation 20:10)
HELL
Hell is a real, literal place, and we are warned of the reality of hell in the Bible. Those who do not have faith through Jesus Christ are subject to everlasting, conscious punishment in hell, but those whose faith is found in Jesus Christ will pass from this life to everlasting life to spend eternal life with God in heaven. (Matthew 13:49-50; 25:46; John 3:16-18; 3:36; 5:24; 1 Thessalonians 1:8-10; 1 John 5:11-13; Revelation 21:8)
CHURCH
The church was established after the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus Christ and since that time has been composed of believers united through saving faith in Christ. (John 3:16; 3:36; 11:25; Acts 16:30-31; Romans 10:8-10; Ephesians 5:23; Colossians 1:18)
All those claiming the name of Christ are to live in fellowship with a local, Bible-believing church, worshiping and serving together the triune God, living out the gospel through the great commission, and loving one another as fellow believers of Jesus Christ. (Acts 20:7; 1 Corinthians 17-33; 16:22; Hebrews 10:23-25; 13:17)
CHRIST’S RETURN
Jesus Christ, Lord of all, will return in glory both personally and bodily to the earth in fulfillment of what He promised and he will finally build his kingdom on earth. Jesus Christ will judge both the living and the dead upon His return. (John 6:39-40, 12:48; Acts 1:9-11; 1 Peter 4:5)
All those who have died will be raised from the dead: those who died in Christ to eternal life in heaven and those who consciously rejected Christ to everlasting punishment in the lake of fire (hell) (Daniel 12:2; Matthew 13:49-50; 25;41-46; Luke 12:5; 1 Corinthians 15:12-26; Revelation 21:8)
Marriage
The Bible teaches us that marriage is a union between one man and one woman. The biblical model includes a union that is clearly intended to remain monogamous and heterosexual.
(Genesis 2:24)
Marriage is ordained by God, and is a solemn, momentous covenant that should only be entered into when the union is in compliance with the Word of God. (Genesis 4:1)
CREATION
The Bible clearly indicates that the earth is fairly young (approximately 4,000 years young from Creation to Christ). The account of Creation and the beginnings of man are found in Genesis 1 through 11. These Scriptures are the foundational building blocks for the origins of all things. The earth was made in six literal 24-hour days, not millions of years. (Genesis 1:1, Genesis 2:3; Exodus 20:8-11; 31:17; Hebrews 4:3-4)
The Flood was a real, worldwide, historic event that took place in Genesis. The earth was filled again with both humans and animals after the flood. (Genesis 7:19-20; 2 Peter 3:5-7)
LIFE
All forms of life stemmed from kinds. Mankind made in the image of God as well as animals (not made in the image of God) were created by God Himself through miraculous, supernatural creation during the six days of Creation (not by natural processes that took millions of years). Each kind of animal may represent additional species within their kinds never changing from kind to kind despite the specie differences within their kinds. Mankind has biologically reproduced mankind since the beginning. (Genesis 1:11-12; 1;21; 1;24-25; 30:37-42; 1 Corinthians 15:39)
Because human life is made in the image of God, based upon clear biblical teaching and by obedience to the Holy Scriptures, life is to be preserved without exception and never taken by the determination of man. God is both the giver and the taker of life. (Genesis 9:6)
GENDER
Your gender and biological sex are equivalent. At birth, your gender was determined at conception (fertilization), placed in your DNA through coding, and cannot be changed by surgery, drugs, hormones, or people’s opinions. This truth is given to us in the Bible and must be lovingly communicated through compassionate kindness, respect, and gentleness. The redemption of our fallen natures and the restoration of our fallen bodies is offered to each of us by God – to each of us who forsakes and confesses their sin, and seeks His forgiveness, love, and mercy through Jesus Christ. (Genesis 1:26-28; 5:1-12; Psalm 51:5; 139:13-16′ Jeremiah 1:5; Matthew 1:20-21; 19:4-6; Mark 10:6; Luke 1:31; Acts 3:198-21; Romans 10:9-10; 1 Corinthians 6:9-11; Galatians 3:28)
