HOW CHRISTIAN HIGHSCHOOL LEADERSHIP COUNCIL WORKS

A Higher Calling Than What The World Offers

What does it look like to follow Christ despite a culture that is steeped in relativity and neo-paganism?

How do students become effective leaders in their homes, their churches, and their educational spheres, despite pressures to be self-serving?

What are worldviews, and is Christianity one of them? How do ‘world views’ stack up against each other, and how are they part of our daily lives?

Can learning worldview and learning leadership fundamentals be combined and join forces in a student’s life and future?

Is there an alternative to the relativity of the imperfect, insufficient, and flawed reasoning of man?

That’s where Christian Highschool Leadership Council (CHLC) comes alongside with answers. The CHLC curriculum provides an opportunity for Christian, high school students to learn, practice, and grow in the skills of leadership, service, and most importantly in the love of Christ. Our program is unique because our curriculum and activities combine leadership and worldview.

This is a program where students may participate and mature in these processes while serving one another and the community, but while also strengthening their roots and understanding the truths in God’s Word. CHLC’s goal is to walk alongside your student as he or she develops a life-changing understanding of what it means to follow Christ through servant leadership.

SIGN UP IN SPRING 2026

Christian Highschool Leadership Council is a student and adult led initiative.  Each new council group requires a minimum of:

  • Three participating high school students (ages 14-19)

  • Two Support Adult Coach/Instructors/Parents
  • Consistent Meeting Location

A CHLC initiative is accompanied by a copyrighted Bible, Worldview, Servant-Leadership, Student Council, and Etiquette curriculum that will equip students to effectively run and operate their council with the support of their adult coach Instructors. Cost of the curriculum is per student and per adult coach instructors.

Students learn best through interactive involvement, and CHLC offers hands-on leadership skills and maturation opportunities. As students develop the skills CHLC teaches, they assume more responsibilities and adults begin to step back into supporting roles while maintaining a consistent involvement and presence in all situations.

Founders of each chapter and adult coach instructors are interviewed through FEED for acceptance. Each student and member is required to compete an application and submit letters of recommendation.

Aligning Christian Worldview & Biblical Leadership Principles

Christian Highschool Leadership Council (CHLC) offers a Christ-centered fleshed-out program and Biblically-based curriculum that provides an opportunity for all Christian high school students to learn, practice, and grow in the skills of servant-leadership, service within their community, and most importantly in the love of Christ. Our program is unique because our curriculum and activities combine leadership, discipleship, etiquette, and biblical worldview.

Through our online store, we make our curriculum available, so that parents and teachers may form their own CHLC programs in their areas, and administer our program details in order to benefit their students no matter their global location.

However, at our current metropolitan area venue, our program offers weekly classes that involve discussion, learning Biblical worldview principles and leadership fundamentals, as well as weekly homework and films that undergird an understanding of world view principles and include personal study and memorization. Additionally there are opportunities for fully engaged leadership experiences and community service, field trips, teen-friendly and wholesome socials, and an annual, formal evening of etiquette training.

We created our curriculum and program based on the writings of various Christian apologists and theologians including, but not limited to, David Noble, Ken Ham, C.S. Lewis, J.I. Packer, and John MacArthur. During the high school course work, our students read their books. Students also use the second edition of a NKJ Daily Bible.

Our students may earn a 1.0 elective credit hour for each of the two-semester programs we offer. We offer a two-semester program for each of the ninth, tenth, eleventh, and twelfth grades. A two-semester intern program for fourth year students (twelfth grade or gap year) is also available through CHLC.

TESTIMONIALS

“A legacy of faith doesn’t happen by accident and CHLC is a proven steward of Biblical Truth. Over years of faithful shepherding and serving, they have learned how to wield the sword of the Spirit. Some things are caught and not only taught.

“In youth ministry entertainment abounds, and Biblical discipleship is more difficult to find. CHLC comes alongside parents to sow Biblical Truth and to inspire a life of discipline and excellence. They elevate relationships by instilling the preciousness of others through practices such as time away from technology, etiquette, and wholesome interactions between ladies and gents at a gala. Christ followers with character and humility lead by example and raise the standard of a faith filled life of purpose. Students are equipped to think critically, discover Truth, and live Biblical Truth out in a way that impacts themselves and others. The encouragement for practices like daily Bible reading and Scripture memory are foundational to a growing walk with God.

“In a world where information abounds, students learn to study current events in light of Scripture and to be discerning through a biblical worldview. The program provides an atmosphere of iron sharpening iron where individual spiritual growth can occur, also deepening relational capacity as students mature. CHLC is for intentional families who are willing to invest in future leaders.” – Mrs. April & Mr. Todd., parents of one 3 year student and one 4 year student

“In 2022, the Lord enabled me to join FEED’s Christian Highschool Leadership Council (CHLC), a unique leadership initiative for high school students. It is highly probable that there is not another organization like CHLC in the entire United States of America. It provides intense Bible, worldview, and apologetics training, and couples all of it with a Student Council body setting and numerous opportunities for community service.

“The program and curriculum was personally designed with the goal of instilling in students a love of Christ, Truth, and Scripture and a deep understanding of servant-leadership. I entered the class unsure of myself, with frail faith and weak spiritual roots. Looking back, it becomes evident to me that any devastating experience or insidious new packaging of an old lie could have swept me away from the Truth if I had been left to myself at that time. In God’s grace, He provided for me stability, accountability, and continual reminders of Truth through CHLC’s mentorship. Doubts became a training ground for asking hard questions in faith. Trials became workouts designed to strengthen my trust in God. I began to realize what it meant to love God with every fiber of my being and my neighbor as myself.

“I am now in much less danger of being led astray by false ‘new’ doctrines because my once-weak spiritual roots are continually being nourished by the Word of God and the fellowship of the believers. I have never seen love and leadership exemplified in the manner that the Bullard family did through CHLC. They continually poured into me and called me to strive for the highest standard – Christlikeness. I praise God for the three years He allowed me to experience with CHLC, and I know I am equipped for the next stepping stone for my continued growth in servant-leadership, knowledge of Truth, and Kingdom impact.” – Zoé, 3 year student

“CHLC provided an opportunity for our son to integrate his faith with learning. It equipped him with leadership skills that he has used in his early adult life. He gained a biblical worldview that prepared him to defend his faith in our post-Christian culture. We were humbled by the wisdom and training put into this program. It is an honor and blessing to recommend CHLC to other students and families.”  – Mrs. Margaret & Mr Rance, parents of 1 year student

“I joined CHLC the inaugural year, and from the start, Ms. Brooke had a plan for training students to both understand the world we live in and actively engage in our culture as born again Christians. She also created ways for us to practice leadership within CHLC meetings as well as externally by planning community service projects. In the CHLC program, I grew in the understanding of my faith and the world we are in, expanded my leadership capabilities, made lifelong likeminded friends, and memorized Scripture. I can confidently say the CHLC people and program played a large role in my spiritual and personal growth during high school.” – Daniel, 1 year student

“Some friends in our church community group took part in CHLC at its inception, and highly recommended it for our daughter. She was so blessed to be a member her junior and senior years. On a number of occasions, she expressed her thankfulness to have a safe place to express her beliefs and grow in relationship with other believers and in her knowledge of the Lord and not only gain a better understanding of our culture but the ability to respond to it in love. In a world where living out your faith is truly the narrow road, CHLC has been such an encouragement to her and has helped her stay the course. With excellent resources from Summit and other resources added, as well as guest speakers, each session is a rich experience with God-glorifying conversations. Great leadership and service opportunities are available as well, and the White Glove Gala is our family’s favorite. Parents and students come together to set up and take down this classy, God-honoring dance. It is a favorite dance among many of our friends, and tickets sell out within hours.

It has been a treasure getting to know Brooke and Seth Bullard personally. They have such love and passion for the Lord and the future of this generation and pour their prayers and hearts into CHLC and ‘their’ kids. Having an opportunity to work alongside them and the kids during some of the service opportunities, I’ve witnessed their hearts of service and love not only for the CHLC students but also the community. They set a high standard of conduct for the students in CHLC, but they also lead by example and live out the same standards themselves.

The Bullards are faithful to the call God has put on their lives to help this generation stay true to the Lord as they prepare for and navigate adulthood. My family is so grateful for the Bullard Family, and we highly recommend CHLC!” – Mrs. Linda & Mr. Brad, parents of 2 year student

“CHLC has blessed my life in so many ways! Being surrounded by a group of like-minded believers has encouraged me to be less like the world throughout high school. The materials and resources we used in class did an excellent job of explaining current issues and pointing us toward the cross!  We are cared about and every one of us is so deeply loved and is always prayed for!” – Lindsey, 2 year student

“The concept of freedom and choice hit me the most while serving in CHLC. We are the outcome of every single decision we make. What we put into our mind, body, and spirit is what will emerge out in life.” – Harrison, senior student

“A few years ago I joined Christian High-school Leadership Council. I thought that it would just be another class. I thought that I would just be taught, but instead, I was discipled. Over the span of three years, we would read over the Understanding the Culture/Faith/Times books by Jeff Myers, memorize multiple verses a week, glean wisdom from the book of Proverbs, host a Winter Gala (where we brought back the expectation of honor and etiquette), host a track and field day for children with incarcerated parents, and most importantly, we were encouraged to be in God’s Word DAILY. Though I had read God’s Word and gone to church my entire life, I hadn’t made a habit of dwelling in His Word. From religion to relationship, meditating and memorizing His Word became my treasure and my greatest desire. Through the service opportunities, I learned that true leaders are servants, true leadership is service, and to lead, you must first serve. Building my life’s foundation on the Truth, and filling my spirit with His Word gave me something to give to others through service. Christ lived a life of service and obedience and gave it up for us. Then He rose, and through that He gave us hope, and a reason to live and serve others. CHLC changed my life. It made me realize the simple fact that my life is not about me, it’s all about Christ. Since we live in a time when the things of the world that we thought were sure/stable are passing away, it is important to have a firm foundation built on the only one who will never change, Christ and His Word. We can live a life of hope and purpose with our eyes fixed on Jesus Christ, no matter what changes around us. The best part about CHLC is that you are learning all of this with friends who desire to know and serve God too (like iron sharpens iron). Having fellowship with the CHLC students has been such a gift! If a cord of three strands is not easily broken, how much more a group of students whose desire is to glorify Christ by serving others. CHLC greatly blessed my life, and it will bless yours too!” – Emma, 3 year student

“Training our children on Biblical truth is everything to us as parents.  As we looked at different classes for our daughter, CHLC was recommended to us.   We didn’t know at the time what a tremendous blessing it would be.  The two years our daughter was able to attend CHLC was a turning point in her life.   She was able to dive deep into God’s word and how it pertained to her everyday life.   It made her a stronger leader, equipping her and giving her courage to speak the truth about what God wants for her and for those around her. Growing as a leader and serving with like-hearted believers also helped her to form friendships that will last a lifetime. CHLC is a train that comes along once in a lifetime. We recommend jumping on!”  – Mr. Kelly & Mrs. Donna, parents of 2 year student

“CHLC has played an integral part in our children’s education. It provided opportunities to increase their vital knowledge of the dominating worldviews in light of Scripture and Biblical theology. They have also been encouraged to improve in the disciplines of daily Bible reading and Scripture memory. However, it isn’t only an education program. Through community service projects, they have been able to learn to work as a team and serve others well, offering real life experiences that encourage not only themselves, but also their peers to be others-minded. The council offers opportunities to explore leadership, organization, administration, communication and event planning skills. Serving alongside their peers and through their weekly class meetings, my students (all three!) have not just increased their knowledge but have developed true lifelong edifying friendships and learned vital skills that will help them serve God and His kingdom better going forward in life.” – Mrs. Andra & Mr. Matt, parents of 3 students, 1 graduate
